Billy Don Johnson

Billy Don Johnson, 78, of Aztec, died on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, in Farmington, New Mexico. He was born April 1, 1932, in Hobbs, New Mexico. Billy attended Fort Lewis College until he left to serve in the military during the Korean War. He retired from Hobbs Fire Department with the rank of lieutenant after 22 years of service. Billy Don loved the Lord and enjoyed sharing his poetry. He was an amazing man who was loved by so many people. He will be mised by all. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Kay Johnson; parents, Nina Pearl and Claude C. Johnson; brothers, Steiny and Claude Johnson; and a sister, Letha Atkins. He is survived by his ife, Alberta Kay Johnson; sons, Jessie Don Johnson and Jimmy Don Johnson; sister, Alene Campbell; "nine and a-quarter" grandchildren; sis great-grandchildren; and his church family.
