Billy A. Romero

ROMERO -Billy A. Romero, age 72, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called home by his Heavenly Lord, Friday, February 20, 2009, after lengthily battle with Dementia. He was born on April 22, 1936, in Marquez, NM to the late Donela and Andres Romero. Billy was a faithful Christian and was proud to be a member of El Buen Samaritano United Methodist Church. Billy was the Owner and Operator of Duke City Diesel Service for over 30 years; after retiring in 1998 he spent his time doing what he enjoyed most, traveling in his motor home, fishing in Alaska, Canada, and Lake Powell; he also enjoyed NASCAR Racing, and especially spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond and Wally Romero; and an infant son. Billy is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Patsy Romero; his wonderful children, Andy Romero, Raymond Romero and wife Naomi, and daughter Antoinette Romero; his precious grandchildren, Ernest, Nicholes, Joshua, Madelyn, and Grace. Also surviving are his brothers, Audie Romero and wife Frances, Andrew Romero and wife Mollie, David Romero and wife Dolores; his sister, Rose Richards and husband Tony; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
