B.K. Myers

Myers, Bobby Kent (B.K.) Age 81, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born in Chico, TX on November 17, 1932, to K.E. and Frankie Myers. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Sherri Atkins. Bobby is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Myers; daughters, Terry Fry and husband Richard, Valari Smith and husband Ed; grandchildren, Lisa Martinez and husband Alex, Trisia Jordan, Josh Fry, Bill Mclean Jr. and seven great-grandchildren. Bobby retired from America West Airlines after 50 years in the airline industry. Aside from his family he had a passion for cars, especially his Mustangs. Bobby was an avid car racing fan and raced micro midgets for charity. He loved Lobo basketball and do-it-yourself building projects, such as his beloved cabin in Idlewild, NM, which he built in 1973. Our family would like to thank the staff at Bee Hive Homes in Rio Rancho, and Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Ave. SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124.
