Bob V. Baysinger

BOB V. BAYSINGER, 74, of Farmington passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008. Bob was born February 14, 1934 in Dolores, Colorado the son of Otis William Baysinger and Vesta Marie (Cartwright) Baysinger. He attended and later graduated from Montezuma High School in 1951. Bob moved to Farmington in 1952 and later married his sweetheart Patty Maxine McKay in 1954 in Farmington. He was employed by El Paso Natural Gas Company for over 35 years. Among his memberships and achievements that Bob enjoyed is 3 Rivers Sam's RV Club, Men's Bowling Association, Square Dance Club in which he was a life member, NM RESD Association and life member of the Elks Club #1747 of Farmington. Bob's hobbies were camping, gardening, traveling and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Bob and Patty were able to travel in all 50 states with their traveling companions and dearest friends Jim and Pat Matthews. Bob was a wonderful father, grandfather and husband and will be greatly missed. Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years Patty (McKay) Baysinger; son Randy Baysinger and wife Staci; daughter Debbie Hodges and boyfriend Marc Clark; grandchildren, Brian (Karolina) Hodges, Becky Hodges and boyfriend Justin Baker, Shayla Baysinger, Amanda Knight, Mark (Rachel) Knight and great-granddaughter Baylee Knight and sister Margaret (Sandy) Barnes. Bob is also survived by his mother-in-law LouVayne McKay, brother-in-law Larry McKay and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and 1 sister. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the San Juan Regional Cancer Center, 800 W. Maple Str., Farmington, NM 87401.
