Age 62, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at his home in Belen, NM surrounded by his all of his family. He was born in Winslow, AZ on November 29, 1952, to Nick and Edith Moya Silva.  Bobby grew up in Socorro where he and his wife Georgia raised their five children. Bobby enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved the outdoors. Before his illness, he loved to read. He especially enjoyed reading the newspaper from front to back to keep up with all the current news. Bobby was an avid Denver Bronco fan and enjoyed dancing.  His passion was listening to the music that he liked. Bobby and Georgia managed the Phillip 66 station in Socorro for about 4 years. Bobby was a people person. He never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to people and helping them in any way he could.  Bobby had a very contagious laugh that made everyone smile.  He was always a very positive person, even after he became ill. Bobby loved his family and they were always his priority. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Nick Silva, Jr..  Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 43 1/2 years, Georgia Romero Silva; his loving children: Lisa Benavidez and husband, Joe, Roberta Silva-Medina and husband, Dominic, David Silva and wife, Lorisa, Rebecca Silva and fiance, Joey Chavez, and Kimberly Silva and fiance, Matthew Espinosa; brothers: Sonny Silva and wife, Cecilia, James Silva and wife, Rosie, Timmy  Silva and wife, Dawn Heany, Larry Silva, Jerry Silva, and Tino Silva and wife, Michelle; sisters: Mary Ann Ruiz and husband, Jose,  Bonnie Montoya and husband, Max, Cindy Achondo and husband, Lazaro, Jeanette Chavez and Peggy Camacho; grandchildren: Joe Daniel Benavidez, Anthony Armijo, Angelica Armijo, Jon Benavidez and companion, Angelo Espinosa, Lorenzo Valenzuela, Christopher Valenzuela, Eric Valenzuela and D.J. Silva; great grandson, Angelo Benavidez; his in-laws, George and Mary Romero;and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 309 Garfield, Socorro, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.  The Holy Rosary to be recited on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at 7:00 pm at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro. A Communion Service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 10:00 am at San Miguel Catholic Church with Deacon Mike Ybarra officiating..  Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following service.  Pallbearers will be David Silva, Joe Benavidez, Dominic Medina, Matthew Espinosa, Joey Chavez, Max  Montoya II.  Honorary pallbearers are Bobby's grandchildren.
