Taylor, Bonne Lee
Age 72, passed away in Albuquerque, NM Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Bonne was born January 28, 1944 in New Castle, PA to Frank and Mildred (Battley) Schiek. Bonne is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, John " Jack" Taylor; sons, John Taylor and wife Kristie, Jason Taylor and wife Patsy, Kendall Taylor and wife Elvia; four grandchildren; and her brother, Karl Schiek and wife Dorothy. Bonne was preceded in death by a son, Darren and a brother, Jim Schiek. Bonne was an elementary teacher in Carol Stream, IL. She dedicated over twenty years of her life to teaching elementary age students. Bonne retired in 2000. Then, she and Jack relocated to New Mexico. Here in New Mexico, Bonne was active with Calvary, Rio Rancho as a volunteer with the Holy Fire Bookstore, and by participating in a women's bible study group. She also became a quilting "fanatic" and was active with the Bear Paw Quilting Guild of the Jemez corridor. Hundreds of the Guild's quilts were provided to NM Armed Forces veterans via the Blue Star Mothers during Memorial Day ceremonies at the NM Veteran's Memorial at Louisiana and Gibson Blvds. SE in Albuquerque. Private interment at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho has taken place. A Celebration of Bonne's life will be Monday, December 5, 2016 at 11:00am at Calvary Chapel-Rio Rancho, 138 Frontage Road SE.
