Brett Anthony Timmons, fondly known as "Tony," passed away on April 23, 2025, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, at the age of 67. Tony was born on February 28, 1958, and lived a life characterized by dedication, service, and a strong commitment to his family and faith.
Tony had a career marked by significant contributions to the manufacturing sector. He was employed at Aeroparts Manufacturing and Repair as a Senior Molder and later served as a Production Supervisor for Clingz Inc. His expertise and leadership in these roles left a lasting impact on those who worked alongside him.
In addition to his professional achievements, Tony was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving for 13 years and achieving the rank of Sergeant. His military service was distinguished by numerous commendations, including the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Commonwealth Medal, and the Southwest Asia Service Medal. These accolades reflect not only his commitment to his country but also his dedication and perseverance in all his endeavors.
Tony's educational journey began at El Dorado High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from which he graduated in 1976. He later furthered his education by obtaining an Associate degree in IT at ITT Technical Institute in 2005, showcasing his lifelong commitment to personal growth and learning.
Throughout his life, Tony was deeply spiritual, believing in God and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He often spoke about Christian values, though he struggled with certain aspects of modern religious institutions. His faith guided many of his interactions and shaped his view of the world.
Tony was married to Kathy Anne Evans for 39 wonderful years. Together, they built a loving family that includes their son, Daniel H. Timmons, and daughter, Jennifer L. Tolwinski. He also cherished his role as a grandfather to his granddaughter, Isela Elise Timmons. He is survived by his wife, children, and granddaughter, as well as his sisters Tina Burns, Elisha Nolan, Sherry Goins, and brother Jason Ribera and Miguel Chandler.
Tony was predeceased by his father, Herbert E. Timmons, mother, Anna L. Hadley Timmons, sister Sandra Cervantes, and brother Lawrence Timmons.
In his leisure time, Tony found joy in playing and watching golf. He was also an avid fan of basketball and football, often enjoying hours of television with his loved ones. His beloved pets, Alfie and Abbie Rose, were constant companions, bringing joy to his daily life.
A Funeral Service to honor Tony's life will be held on May 2, 2025, at Daniels Family Funeral Services - 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87004. Interment will follow at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Tony's legacy of service, love, and dedication to family and faith will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
