Bryan Louis Althaus, born on October 9, 1951, in Yuma, Arizona, passed away on January 31, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Bryan pursued his education with dedication, graduating from Bishop Gorman High School in 1969. He continued his studies at the University of Nevada, graduating in 1970 before attending New Mexico State University, graduating in 1973.
On July 28, 2001, Bryan married Deborah Rubolino in Rio Rancho. Together, they shared 23 and a half wonderful years filled with love and companionship.
A dedicated professional in the field of IT, Bryan worked for four decades as a network and systems administrator. His expertise and commitment left a lasting impact on colleagues and the industry alike.
Faith played an important role in Bryan’s life. He was a devoted member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, where he found both spiritual fulfillment and a strong sense of community.
Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Harry F. Althaus and Mary Elizabeth Althaus, and his grandson, Justin Delgado. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Rubolino; his son, Thomas J. Hamer; his daughter, Angela M. R. Althaus; his daughter-in-law, Pamela Spidella-Hamer; and his cherished grandchildren: Willow A. Althaus, Emma R. Althaus, Isabella Delgado, Kenneth Delgado, and Liberty Delgado. He is also survived by his sister, Roxanne Althaus; his nephew, Brandon Althaus; and his beloved pet Kai.
He was preceded in passing by his dear pets Nosey, Copper, Princess, and Shadow—companions who brought him great joy throughout the years.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Monarch Lux Living for their compassionate care during Bryan’s final month of life and to the staff of Honest 1 Caregiving for their in-home care the past year.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
