Camilla Ardell Deal age, 84 of Farmington, New Mexico took Dee's hand surrounded by her loving family Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Camilla was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on March 25, 1924 to Cyril Vince Higginbotham and Ella Ardell Griffin. Camilla Ardell Higginbotham and Dee Bill Deal were married on August 24, 1943 and were happily married 42 years until Dee's death in 1985. Camilla worked many jobs, but her most rewarding job was working for the Farmington Public School system as a food services worker. She felt like all of the kids in the school system were hers. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. She made her children and grandchildren feel special always by playing games with them, teaching them to cook and clean. Camilla taught Sunday school for over thirty years and always found time to make each and everyone feel special. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking fantastic meals for her family. Camilla's roses were her prizes every year. Her crocheted Afghans' and doll clothing will be cherished for generations. She is survived by her three children Jimmy (Jacky) Deal; Verma Riedle; Chester (Vivian) Deal eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and one on the way. Pallbearers will be Alden Hurlbut, Cody Martinez, Cheryl L. Deal, Nathan Deal, Sebastian W. Woodall and Rick Gregory. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Deal, Verma Riedle, Tanner Hurlbut, Lance CPL Christopher Dee Lewis Hurlbut, Army PFC Alden Hurlbut Jr. and Joey Deal. The family wants to send a huge thank you to Cedar Ridge Inn nurses Gwen, Deena, and Tammy, Basin Home Health, Gail, Kara, and Barbara, San Juan Regional Medial Center Dr. Charles Hoffman, Dr. Sodarnan Jacob and the 4th floor nurses for the wonderful help and care they gave to our sweet Grandmother.
