Candelario Manuel Gavaldon

Candelario Manuel Gavaldon, A.K.A Candie,  was born September 26, 1941 in Monticello New Mexico. Candelario Gavaldon at age 77 was called by our Lord to come home on July 11, of 2019. He was a hard-working man, a father of 5, and a grandfather of 7. He lived in Rio Rancho New Mexico for 41 years, a place where he called home. He was married to Mary Alvarez for 40 years and was always there for her until the end of her life, at a young age of 64.  Candie retired from Form-Cove Manufacturing in 2009, where all his co-workers knew him as "Candyman" and adored his work ethic as a maintenance guy and also for his loving and kind Spirit. He will always be remembered as a man who took care of his family, making sure they never went without. He is survived by his siblings Pia, Jake, Lassie, Salome, and John. Also survived by his children, Manuel and his wife Shica, Tommy, Chris, Nannette, and her husband Wes. His late 2nd oldest son Ernest unfortunately passed in June of 2018. Candie is also survived by his grandchildren, Samantha, Veronica, and Damian Thompson, Chryssiess, Elijah, and Antonio Gavaldon, along with his newest great-granddaughter kaleah Rose Wiley, who he loved just as much, even though he wanted to meet her so badly, but unfortunately he did not get to due to his hospitalization of health issues. Candies Hobbies were collecting old model cars, fixing things as a do-it-yourselfer guy, and just all-around enjoyed helping others at a drop of a hat when needed. Candie lived his life the way he wanted to, and in his down time, he just loved to kick back with good old "Jim Beam" and a smoke. He truly was a great man who was known for his kind and loving nature as a father, grandfather, and a friend. He will be missed by all.  We love you Candyman!! Candie died from unfortunate major health complications, but we will not remember him by the way he died, only by the way he lived. Dad, you're with Mom now where you wanted go be.  We love you Dad and Grandpa..... May you rest in peace.
