Anderson, Carl "Chris" Albert Jr.
Age 89, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 16, 1928, to Carl Albert Sr. and Frances (Fitch) Anderson. Chris was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 55 years, Nancy Lou (Jones) Anderson; his sisters Dorothy, Mickey, and Rosemary; and his grandson Christopher Anderson. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Anderson of Albuquerque, NM, and Kathleen Brubaker of West Union, IA; his grandchildren Cheri (Lyle) Rasmussen of Sahuarita, AZ, Erin (Anthony Hibbing) Brubaker of Lincoln, NE, and Matthew (Anna) Brubaker of West Union, IA; his great grandchildren, Connie, Kristen, Jonathan, and Taya. Chris was a concert pianist in his youth, and attended DePaul Catholic School in Chicago, IL receiving his high school diploma. He went on to serve 8 years in the United States Navy, participating in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was rewarded the Purple Heart. He later worked at and co-owned Jones Opticians for 40 years. He was an excellent carpenter, building a cabin in Red River and completely transforming his Corrales home. He was a member of the Masons and Shriners associations. He also served as a volunteer fireman for the Village of Corrales. Chris will be remembered as a devoted husband, and loving father.
