Carl Jackie Curtis

Carl Jackie Curtis, age 86, passed peacefully at his home in Bernallilo, New Mexico on Wednesday May 30, 2018. Born February 19, 1932, in Sioux City, Iowa, Carl spent his early years working on a family owned ranch. He joined the Armed Sevices at  21 years of age. After completing his military duties Carl earned a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, subsequently accepting a position with Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque. Carl spent his entire career working for Sandia, retiring in 1990. He was an avid fisherman, loved running, biking and most all sporting activities.

Carl enjoyed a wonderful 64 year marriage to Lorreta Ann Curtis. Together they toured several countries including Indonesia, Singapore, Ecuador, Thailand and Vietnam to name a few. Carl and Lorreta also enjoyed spending time with their two grand daughters Brittany and Cortney as well as their five great grand children, Senna, Shealyn, Vincent, Raegan and Emory. Survivors include his two beloved sons Steven Michael and Craig Allen. Carl also leaves behind 5 siblings.

Services will be held at 1pm, Monday June 18, at Daniels Family Funeral Home, 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho. Friends and family are welcome to attend the Service.
