FARMINGTON Carl Leo Jordan July 17, 1926 - Jan. 20, 2011 Carl Leo Jordan, 84, of Farmington passed from this life on Thursday, January 20, 2011. He was born July 17, 1926, in Pryor, Okla. to G.W. Jordan and Agnes (Landrum) Jordan. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his father, three sons, and one daughter. He is survived by his devoted wife and partner for life of 66 years, Nancy Jordan; daughters, Donna Jordan Tobin (Chuck) of Farmington and Peggy Jordan Chavez (Lee) of Albuquerque; as well as 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Carl retired from El Paso Natural Gas after 37 years in 1985. He served in the United States Army in WWII and received an honorable discharge from the Army of the United States after serving with the 5th Army Air Force 35th Fighter Squadron. Carl also received numerous medals during this conflict. A public visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington, 404 W. Arrington, in Farmington. Pallbearers are Robert Jordan, Duane Phillips, Jeff Laskie and Eric Laskie. Honorary pallbearer is Lance Jordan. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Cope Memorial Chapel of Farmington with John Preston officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Farmington.
