Carliss R. "Karl" Behnke

Behnke, Carliss "Karl" Roland Age 77, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 at his home in Socorro, NM surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Oconto, WI, on May 1, 1936, to Roland and Lucille Vandress Behnke. Karl served his country as a member of the US Coast Guard from 1957 until his retirement in 1977. He spent many years as a successful business man in Sault Sainte Marie, MI. Karl will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marilyn Trepanier, Virginia Rasmassen, Chyrleen Wiedenhaft and Bonnie Behnke; brothers, Dean, Sherdean and Roger Behnke. Karl is survived by wife of 13 years, Glenda L. (Easley) Behnke; step children, Ty Zimmerman and wife, Missy and Kim Milligan and husband, Kenny; sister, Donna Barribeau; brother, Jay Behnke and wife, Linda; six grandchildren; one great grandson; and many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Karl's life will be held at the Family home, 405 North Melody Lane, Socorro on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 am.
