Carlos Lucero Jr.

LUCERO- Carlos Lucero Jr, 76, of Bloomfield, NM, passed on to a better life on Monday April, 20 2009. He was born in Chromo, CO on July 29, 1932. He was raised in Dulce and Lumberton NM. He attended parochial school in Lumberton and later graduated from Albuquerque High School. He joined the US Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. He and his wife Andrea lived in Albuquerque for a short time before settling in Bloomfield. He loved spending time with his family, woodworking and painting. He also enjoyed ranching in Goverador, NM. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish in Bloomfield. He was preceded in death by his parents Carlos and Vicenta Lucero, parents in-law Manuel and Acencion Trujillo, sisters Acencion Urban and Elena Lopez. Carlos is survived by his wife Andrea, son Michael and wife Bobbie, daughter Carla Zabalza and her husband John. Sisters Rose Nestor, Lucy Bunnell and her husband Bob and brother Frank Lucero. Grandchildren Andrea Valenzuela and husband Paul, and Felipe Zabalza. Great-grandchildren, Isaac and Joshua. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
