Carmen Jones, 70, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011. She was born on April 2, 1941 to Pedro and Andrea Alvarez, in Torreon, Mexico.
Carmen is survived by her husband - Richard; two daughters - Christina (Dion ) Lopez of Albuquerque, NM, Cathleen (Randall ) Marshall of Albuquerque, NM; three grandsons - Jacob Max Lopez of Albuquerque, NM, Zachary Marshall of Albuquerque, NM, Samuel Marshall of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughter - Faith Marshall of Albuquerque, NM; two brothers - Noel Alvarez of Roseville, CA, Alfred Alvarez of El Paso, TX.
Carmen was a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico for years. She was a member of Saint Therese Little Flower. Carmen enjoyed traveling, politics, cooking, her children and grandchildren, Carmen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, She will be missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place an a rosary will be recited. In Lieu of flowers donations may be given in Carmen's honor to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital or Doctors Without Borders.
