Carol Ann DeFreitas

On Sunday, August 8, 2021 Carol DeFreitas passed away peacefully at the age of 64 surrounded by her beloved children. She was born in Long Island, NY on April 2, 1957.

Carol was an administrative assistant for over 25 years in the Moriarty School District as well as at Edgewood’s East Mountain Dance Academy and The Holy Cross Episcopal Church. She was first and foremost a beloved mother and grandmother who greatly inspired and touched all those that knew her. Her love for her family was profound and the driving force in all of her endeavors in every aspect of her life.

Her kind nurturing spirit will always be a treasure that remains instilled in all that knew her. She was selfless beyond measure and had the most giving heart. She most enjoyed spending time with her children and her precious grandchildren. They lit up her life with pure joy. They were her everything.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy and father Francis. She is survived by her loving children Anthony and Teresa; five grandchildren; siblings Michael and Susan; stepfather Lynn; as well as many extended family and cherished friends.
