Carol Lynette Gower

Our beloved, Carol, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Aztec on May 24th. She was born Carol Lynette Hester on April 22, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Her parents moved to Aztec when she was six months old and she was a lifelong resident of the Four Corners area. Carol is survived by her daughters, her inspiration for all that she did in life and her best friends, Teresa Becker of Bloomfield and Bethany Gower of Aztec; her beautiful granddaughters, Sarah Katherine Becker and Rachel Anne Becker, who were her bright and shining stars; her sister and partner in crime, Lil (Bill) Beckett of Newton Falls, Ohio; her niece and nephews, Brenda Becker, Ron Hackney, Clint Wilson, Dustin Wilson and Cory Beckett. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Gower; her father, Leonard Hester Sr.; her mother, Evelyn Hester; her sister, Phyllis Hester; her brother, Leonard Hester Jr., and her best friend, Alice Stoke, who died at the age of nineteen. Her daughters would say she was their rock and their best friend, her granddaughters would say she was the most awesome, totally hip grandma ever and her sister would say, together, you and I, buried them all and now I bury you. Carol will be laid to rest beside her sister, Phyllis, in the Rose Garden. Please join us for a celebration of her life at 1:00 p.m. athe the Farmington Civic Center. Carol rests in the hands of God.
