Carol Jean (Romero) Jemison

Jemison, Carol Jean (Romero) 46, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2012. She was born in Socorro, NM on November 5, 1966 to Joe Larry and Victoria (Gonzales) Romero. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Larry Romero and her brother, Jerry Vallejos. Carol loved animals and flowers. Her dog, Peanut was very dear to her. Above all Carol was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved and adored her family to the fullest. Carol is survived by her mother, Victoria Romero; her husband of five years, Ben Jemison; her children, Ashley Collins and husband, Anthony; and Clarence Legg and companion, Brittani; her brothers, Joe Larry Romero Jr; and Edward Romero and wife, Kimberly; and her sister, Karen Pino and husband, Martin. Carol also enjoyed her grandchildren, Hagen Legg, and James and Tyler Collins; and her nieces, Haley and Victoria Pino, and Brittani and Ashli Romero; and her great nephew, Hunter Conegton. A Holy Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 8:30 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro. A celebration of the Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:00 am with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Interment will be held in the San Acacia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Gonzales, John Pino, Ronnie Gonzales, Jerry Vallejos, Manuel Anaya, and Anthony Collins.
