Carol J. Lachenmeyer

Lachenmeyer, Carol J. Carol J. Lachenmeyer, born on July 2, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY, passed away in her sleep on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the age of 75 in Albuquerque, NM. She was a faithful parishioner of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church since the mid 1960's. Carol is survived by her two loving children, son, Fred Lachenmeyer and daughter Laura Lachenmeyer; younger sister, Judith Beasley and niece Linda Beasley. Upon retirement from George Maloof she found her greatest enjoyment in her volunteer work with Dogwood Therapy, working with these selected puppies, preparing them for advanced training to assist people with special needs. Carol adopted her new state as home and became a wonderful neighbor and friend to those closest to her. In her spare time, Carol gardened, attended the yearly Balloon festival and the Southwest Craft Fairs. Carol had a special place in her heart for Owls, finding in them great beauty. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her children Fred and Laura. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10:00 am, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerque.
