Caroline Francine Schumacher

Schumacher, Caroline Francine Caroline Francine Schumacher ended her earthly journey on May 19, 2013. Her life ended peacefully with her beautiful family nearby. She was at home in Edgewood, NM, with her husband Steve, her daughter and son-in-law Rob and Caley Gonyea, and her youngest daughter Naomi Schumacher. Caroline's gentle spirit, her kindness, and her amazing smile will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her family- including her Mother Jacqueline Smith, her sister Angela Gates, her brothers Steve Mitchell, Thomas Mitchell and their families. Caroline was born October 20, 1962, and graduated from Sandia High School in Albuquerque, NM at the top of her class. She received her Bachelor's degree from the UNM where she met, fell in love with, and married Steve Schumacher. Together they raised two beautiful girls, taking every opportunity as a family to adventure around the country for family camps, vacations, and lots of love and laughter...and they have the pictures to prove it! Caroline lived her life in a way that revealed her faith in God and her passion for her family. Those priorities were obvious to all, and so she moves on from a life of excellence with no regrets. Caroline believed that the end of this life is not the end of her story, and that, as the Apostle Paul wrote, "We who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life." (2 Cor 5:4) Love is not a strong enough word to describe how those closest to you feel, Caroline. You will be missed, and you will continue to live on in the lives of your family and friends. Services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013. Burial follows promptly at Sandia Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers send memorial contributions to Adventist Development Relief Agency, www.adra.org
