Carolyn Penney Hooper Gazzano
Age 96, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015.
Carolyn was born in Brooklyn, New York and she grew up on the South Shore of Long Island in Center Moriches, NY. She was a graduate of Center Moriches High School and was married to William Bradford Hooper. He passed in October 1955. Carolyn was married to Julian Gazzano Sr, for forty-eight years and he passed on March 24, 2014. They were residents of Florida from 1969-2014. Having retired from Broward County in 1981. Her son Terence B. Hooper of Ruby, South Carolina; survives Carolyn; her daughter Cheryl Hooper Governale of Albuquerque, New Mexico; survives Carolyn; and her stepson Julian Gazzano, Jr of West Florida also survives Carolyn. She spent the last 15 months residing in Albuquerque, NM near her daughter. Carolyn had 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Her sister, Eloise Penney Davis, and a half brother, Philip Shelton, preceded her in death. One outstanding achievement of her life was the writing of a children's book call "Little Puff" ~ still available on Amazon.com
She will be laid to rest at Mt Pleasant cemetery in Center Moriches, NY on August 10, 2015.
