Carolyn Marie Hoffland

Hoffland, Carolyn M. 64, a resident of Albuquerque, NM and formally of Alexandria, MN passed away on Saturday May 31, 2014 with her family by her side after a long courageous battle with cancer. Carolyn was born to Leona and John Wright on April 23, 1950 in Wheaton, MN. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with, and entertaining, her family. She took pride in planting and growing her flowers. Carolyn found great joy in her trips to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, and the Fuss Cabin in Chama, NM, as well as many trips back home to MN. Carolyn was an inspiration to the many people she met through online communities who also experienced similar health issues, as well as many others. She was a huge Lobo basketball fan, as well as supporting her grandchildren in all of their sports and activities. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Harland Hoffland of 44 years; daughters, Melissa (Dennis) Ullmann of Sauk Rapids, MN and Sara (JC) McQuarie of Albuquerque, NM; 7 grandchildren, Josh and Taylor Ullmann, Nolan and Alix Smith, Chase, Andrew and Mason McQuarie. She is also survived by one sister, Janell Larson of Alexandria, MN.
