Carolyn Ponterio

Ponterio, Carolyn (Carol) Age 81, passed away Tuesday, March 18,2014 at The Retreat in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Carol was born April 24, 1932 in New York City, New York, to Gaspare and Lucia Evola. After working in the Garmet District, she married Robert J. (Bob) Ponterio on July 5, 1952. They retired to Rio Rancho, after lovingly raising their family in Johnson City, New York. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, on September 23, 2011. She is survived by her children, Robert and Marie Ponterio, Gerry and Bridget Ponterio, Carolann and Pat Garringer, Maryann and Dave Entz; grandchildren, Thomas and Zoe Ponterio, Emilie Ponterio, Nicholas Ponterio, Abby Ponterio, Samantha Garringer, Matthew Garringer, Daniel Entz; great-grandchildren, Toki Ponterio and Sonja Ponterio. Carol was a music lover and piano player. She was an avid quilter, often gifting her lovely quilts and placemats to friends and family members.
