Casilda M. Vila

Vila, Casilda M. Age 92, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012. Casilda M. Vila is survived by her son, Efrain Vila (Karen Ruesch-Vila); four grandchildren: Brian Vila, Julie Vila Panetta (Michael), Andrew Vila (Holly) and Mark Vila (Sara). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Emanuel, Madison, Joseph, Gavin, Justin and Ryan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Casilda was very active in the church. In Milwaukee she was a member of All Saints Cathedral and did volunteer work in a variety of the church�s activities. In Albuquerque she was a diligent volunteer at the food pantry at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. She didn�t miss an opportunity to serve others. She was especially proud of her Puerto Rican heritage and did much to pass that heritage on in the form of food and stories. Family was very important to her and close, long term friends were also considered �family�. A Memorial Gathering will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 601 Montano Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM. A coffee reception will be held prior to the memorial at 10:15 a.m. in the church reception hall. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Casas San Miguel Food Pantry, St. Michael and All Angles Episcopal Church, 601 Montano Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
