Catherine Lorraine Garcia

Catherine Lorraine Garcia, known affectionately as Lorraine, peacefully passed away on May 23, 2023. Lorraine was a devoted wife and mother, beloved sister, and cherished friend.  

She is survived by her husband Herman and three children, Luis Garcia, Rebecca Garcia, and Alicia Walker and son-in-law Ian. Lorraine also has one granddaughter Kylene Flynt. Lorraine has two sisters, Terry Huertaz and Deborah Pohl and one brother, Andre Cordova. She also has numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

Lorraine and Herman recently celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary. Herman stood by her side as a loving husband and a source of strength throughout their life together.

Lorraine dedicated her life to caring for others, particularly children. She found immense joy in her career in childcare, nurturing and guiding numerous young lives. Lorraine's connection with children was exceptional, and her love for them was boundless. Countless children and their families have been touched by her unwavering dedication.

Lorraine's spirit of kindness, generosity and caring for others will forever be remembered.

A Rosary will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Queen of Heaven Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
