Cecile B. Bourque

BOURQUE- Cecile Bourque, 95, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1988, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Cecile was born September 30, 1913, the daughter of Elziar and Marie Rose (Mourcox) Benoit, in Kateville, Quebec, Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2000; two daughters, Andrea Bourque in 1999, and Collette Smith in 2008; and one son-in-law, Charles R. Smith in 2007. Cecile is survived by one grandson, Michael R. Smith and wife, Monica, of Rio Rancho; two great-grandchildren, Michelle Godfrey and husband, Jonathan, and Michael S. Smith; two sisters, Rita Glenn and Yvette Foley, both of Montreal, Canada; one brother, Roland Benoit of Windsor, CT; and other relatives in Connecticut and Canada. Her great enjoyment in life was her family. Cecile helped raise five generations throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cecile's name, to the American Heart Association, 2201 San Pedro Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
