Born on May 5, 1929 in Kelly, NM and passed away peacefully on December 28, 2011 in Socorro, NM. Cecilia along with her husband Nestor owned and operated the Pizza Inn Cafe. Through her work at the restaurant Cecilia met many people; some just passing through Socorro and some who remained life long friends. Cecilia had a great joy for life and enjoyed socializing with anyone who came across her path. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and devoted wife. Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents, Donaciano and Ramona G. Lopez, her husband of many years, Nestor Gonzales, her step-son, Melvin Gonzales, and her brothers, Albert Lopez, and Gene Lopez. Cecilia is survived by her sister, Viola Santillanes, and husband Heraclio of Socorro; her Children Tony Gonzales and wife Sandra of Socorro; Helen Camero and husband Luis of Carlsbad, NM; Ian Pleschette; Donny Ray Gonzales; Abel Gonzales; and Jacob Gonzales all of Socorro; her grandchildren, Vince Gonzales, Ryan Gonzales, Brandi Head, Donna South, Richie Padilla, Kathy Berger, Alexis Camero, Samantha Connell, Bobby Camero and Dane Gonzales; her great-grandchildren, Anthony Maloney, Christian Gonzales, Annika Head, Josh Head, Brayden Head, Charisse South, Alyssa Gallegos, Elijah Padilla, Shania Berger, Kyle Berger, Christopher Alva, Andre Camero and Alexander Camero; in addition she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and assorted family members as well as many friends.
