Cecilia G. Sanchez, age 88, passed away February 24, 2022, in Albuquerque, NM. She was born April 17, 1933, to Emilio and Trinidad Gutierrez in Belen, NM.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Martin S. Sanchez; her daughter, Angela F. Armijo; brothers, Ralph and Roy Gutierrez; sisters, Mary Simms, Betty Luna, and Lucilla Pacheco.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Marvin J. Sanchez and Gennie Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM; her brother, James Gutierrez; her grandson, Bobby Armijo; step granddaughter, Daphnnie Sanchez and her husband, Ruben Sanchez of Cuba, NM; and her 6 great grandchildren.
Cecilia went to Belen High School, and she loved her casino time for social hours. Casinos were her best friend!
“My mother was the best as we grew up strict and firm, but my sister and I grew to be the people we are and we were. My mother did without a lot as we grew up, to ensure my sister and I have everything we needed. She always put our needs first. After we were grown and on our own then she took care of herself with good reason.

A rosary will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 9:30 AM with Queen of heaven church located at, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, followed by a mass at 10:00 AM.
Graveside will take place at Sunset Memorial Park located at, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
