Charles William McGaha

Charles “Chuck” William McGaha was born to Leo John McGaha and Jennie Martha May McGaha on March 6, 1925 in Yale, Oklahoma. He passed away June 4, 2011 at San Juan Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, wife Leah Reta McGaha, son Calvin Lee McGaha and granddaughter Ashlee McGaha. Chuck is survived by his daughter Donna M. Lanier and husband Harry Thomas “Tom”, three sons, Charles William McGaha, Jr., Benjamin Leo McGaha (Jerilyn) and John Arthur McGaha and wife Lora. He has 12 grandchildren, Karrie Clark (Doug), Rachel Lanier, Christopher Lanier (Whitney), Melissa Allred (James), Vanessa Uselman (Jerome), Valerie McGaha, Lisa McGaha, Amber McGaha, Sarah Rose McGaha, Daniel McGaha, Rebecca Elliot (Kent) and Corey Charles McGaha. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and one step great-grandchild, special neighbor and good friend of the family, Genelda Odom and good friend Betty Martin of Aztec. Chuck was a hard worker and loved working outside. He spent most of his life working the oilfield. He loved welding and making things from scraps of iron. He loved life, grandkids, animals and reading. Chuck was a good husband, wonderful father and great “Papa”. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all. Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E.
