Charles E. Mitchell
Age 85, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018. He was born in Cameron, TX on August 13, 1933, to Guy and Mattie Mitchell. Charles attended high school in Hobbs, New Mexico, attended Highlands University, and UNM to obtain a PHD in Bio Chemistry. He has been an Albuquerque resident for 61 years. Charles was a dedicated employee to the Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute for 25 years before retirement. He loves fishing, hunting, and racquetball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Mattie Mitchell; sister, Helen M. Coleman, and various aunts and uncles.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Willie Mae Mitchell; sons, Charles E. Mitchell Jr., Gary W. Mitchell, Michael L. Mitchell, and Phillip C. Mitchell; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held at 11:00 am September 12, 2018  at  Daniels Family Funeral Services-Wyoming Chapel with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
