Charles S. Salvo

SALVO_Charles S. Salvo, 86, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009. Charles was born February 14, 1923 the son of Pasquale and Mary Ciali Salvo in Pittston, Pennsylvania. He had been an Industrial Engineer in the electronics business before he retired. He was an avid gardener, a terrific handyman, enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, was a comedian who always was ready with a joke for you, and he loved spending time with his family, and adored his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Gary A. Hoodless II in 2007. Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen A. Salvo of Rio Rancho; children, Marcina Siciliano of New Haven, CT, and Marietta Hoodless and husband Gary of Regina, NM; three grandchildren, Nicholas Siciliano and wife Maria, Elizabeth Hoodless and husband Jeremy Williams, and Michael Hoodless; brothers and sisters, Ross Salvo and wife Marie, Joe Salvo, Carrie Murray, Mary Falzone and husband John, Lucy Salvo, Patricia Corcoran and husband Dennis, and Helen Poole and husband Arthur. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Siciliano, Santo Genco, John Kahrs, Rick Torretta, Gary Hoodless, and Ron Porath.
