Charlotte Smith

SMITH- Charlotte (Silva) Smith, 86, of Albuquerque, NM, died July 10, 2012, at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice surrounded by family and friends. She was born November 6, 1925, in San Marcial, NM, the daughter of the late Benito and Alvinita Silva. She was the middle of three siblings. Her parents and her brothers Abenicio Silva and Jesus M. Silva preceded Charlotte in death. On November 17, 1956 she married Glenn Smith who survives. Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Glenn Smith and wife, Mary, daughters Venita Martinez and husband, Tony, Teresa Mares and husband, Joseph, Linda Smith and her fianc�?© Matthew Jaramillo; her grandchildren, Pete, Michael, Glenn, and Patricia; and her great grandchild Alicia. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Catholic Church and retired from Presbyterian Hospital after 30 years of dedicated work. After retirement she volunteered at Lowell Elementary School as a foster grandparent and worked there until she had a stroke, which prevented her from continuing this work. Her family was the joy of her life. She loved them dearly and her word��?�s "I love you and God Bless you will forever echo in their minds. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 ��?? 7:30 p.m. on July 12, 2012 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery following the services. Pallbearers will be, Pete Smith, Michael Martinez, Glenn Smith III, Mike Pino, Junior Silva and Roy Silva. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Presbyterian Anna Kaseman Hospice.
