SEDILLO-Christina Sedillo, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday May 7, 2011. Mother’s Day just passed and as we and many families around the world celebrate, it was very different this year because our beloved mother was not here with us; she was on her journey to her new life. She was such a wonderful mother, friend and was a very loving and caring person who brought joy and laughter to everyone in her life. Many knew her as the bus driver. She drove a school bus for a record of 30 years. In that 30 years she was proud to say she never missed one day of work. Though she was never in the military, she was able to instill fear in those kids and only being four feet and eight inches tall she walked like she was eight feet tall and was like a drill sergeant. The children that rode her bus knew there was no fooling around on her bus, you got on and you sat quietly and if not, you would be seated up front right where she could keep her eyes on you. Christina was dedicated in all she did in life, even if it was just being a mom, grandmother, daughter, sister or friend. We have so many fond memories of our mother enough to make us smile a lifetime and this is why it is so hard to say goodbye. Mom you were our strength and you truly are the world’s greatest mom and will be to each and every one of us forever and ever. Know that where ever you are, we are missing you and that every waking day will begin with a memory of you, that you have blessed us with and we will share together your memory forever in our hearts. We truly love and will miss you. Your loving children, Tony, Carlos, Paul, and Esperanza. Christina is preceded in death by her father; mother; three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her loving husband Leddie Sedillo of 54 years; sons Tony Sedillo and wife Betty, Carlos Sedillo and wife Louisa, Paul Sedillo and wife Monica; one daughter Esperanza Nelson and husband Gerald; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Christina will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A Visitation and Rosary will take place at Garcia Mortuary, Chapel of Angels, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SW Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.; Cremation to follow.
