Christine Maria Gutierrez

Gutierrez, Christine Maria 61, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013. She was born in Roswell, NM on January 1, 1952 to Edward and Martha (Romo) Savedra. She was a resident of Lemitar since 1983. Christine loved to work in her yard where she had the most beautiful trees and flowers. She enjoyed watching movies, learning to play the guitar, and driving her red Corvette. Above anything else, Christine was very strong in her faith in Yahweh and her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Crystal Laura Gutierrez in March of 1991. Christine is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Leroy Gutierrez; her parents; her devoted children, Billy Joe Savedra; Vanessa Marie Grain and husband, Evan; Tony Garza; and Leroy C. Gutierrez and wife, Melanie; her brothers, Danny and wife, Rosanne; Larry and wife Luana; Eddie and wife Annette; Floyd and wife, Margaret; Paul and wife, Shawna; her only sister, Renee Savedra and many other loving family members and close friends. Christine especially enjoyed her beautiful grandchildren, Elric, Camryn, Caleb, Derek, Tony Jr., Mariah, Mathew, Christopher, Garrick and Adrianna. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield St, Socorro. Interment will follow at the Lemitar Cemetery. Pallbearers are Billy Savedra, Tony Garza, Leroy C. Gutierrez, Caleb Sager, Tony Garza Jr., and Mathew Garza.
