Christine Maria Romero

ROMERO - Christine Maria Romero, 80, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday, December 18, 2010. Christine was born June 29, 1930 in Santa Rosa, NM. Christine loved to sew and quilt she enjoyed spending time on the ranch and adored her grandchildren and family. Christine is survived by, her beloved husband Juan Jose Sr. of 54 years; her loving children Manuel Tenorio Sr., Johnny Joe Romero Jr. and wife Carolyn, Johanna Flores, Karen Garcia, Margie Romero and husband Pablo Torrez, Tessie Romero-Jaramillo and husband Robert and Mark Romero; 30 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her brother Tommy Martinez and wife Josie; sister Jane Enbelen and husband Kurt; and numerous other family and friends. Christine was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Celia Martinez; in- laws Roman and Maggie Romero; sons Patrick M. Tenorio Sr., Richard A. Tenorio Sr.; grandchildren Roman J. Romero, Jose Michael Tenorio and Angelica Gallegos. Christine will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Visitation will take place in the Chapel of Angels at Garcia Mortuary, Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a reciting of the Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.; Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Place NE., Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.; with Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
