February 20, 1987 — August 27, 2024

Albuquerque

Christopher “Chris” M. Sanchez was born in Ruidoso, NM on February 20, 1987, and was called home to be with our Lord on August 27, 2024.

Christopher, known as “Chris” to most, was raised in New Mexico and also spent several years of his youth in Arizona. It was clear from an early age that he was mechanically inclined and quite a daredevil. Though he was involved in little league and high school sports, nothing compared to his love for motocross racing and his increasing need to go faster, which lead to him building and racing his own drag race cars. After high school, he attended the MMI and UTI mechanic schools where he began honing the skills that would turn him into one of the most sought after ASE Certified Master Auto Technician/Mechanics around and one of the best in customer service. Chris was hard working, driven and deeply patriotic. A kind hearted and generous man, who helped so many and loved being around his family and was a fierce protector of his family and friends. Chris was outgoing with a brilliant smile and an infectious laugh. From motocross and drag racing to sky diving, Chris always looked for new ways to challenge himself. Chris was loved by so many and we will miss him greatly. Until we meet again.

Chris is survived by his fiancé, Tylynn Tapia; his daughter Athena Sanchez; parents, Sara and Wade Proctor and Richard and Jeanie Sanchez and Grandmother Nancy Rockey. His siblings Adam Sanchez and his wife Elaine, Abigaile Proctor and her fiancé Garrett Brooks, Hannah Lucas and her husband Andrew, Layne Sanchez and his wife Taylor, and Jennifer Van Auken and her husband Cory. Chris is also survivied by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Carlos and Alvesa Sanchez, Odell and Jean Proctor and Ronald Rockey.
