Clarence W. James, Sr.

James, Clarence W. was born May 21, 1931. He went home to be with the Lord on his birthday May 21, 2013. He grew up and graduated from the south side of Chicago, IL. After graduating he served 3 years in the Air Force moving to Albuquerque, NM here we married his loving wife in 1957. He worked for Mountain Bell and retired after 31 years of employment. Clarence accepted the Lord in his life and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. N. Darnell Smith. Clarence excelled in so much, always living within his means. Out smarting he white collar world to pushing the max button on the gambling machine. He always read a history book or a jet magazine. His signature everyday look was a fruit of a loom pocket t-shirt and a non labeled pair of jeans, whether it was playing in a bowling league or everyday life he was a true winner. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Thelma James, his children Clarence W. James, Jr. of Richmond, IN, Clifford P. James of Baltimore, MD and Crystal M. James of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren Brandon James of Albuquerque, NM, Dante James of Chambursburg, PA, Kelli James, Caryn James, Farrel James of Los Angeles; brothers Charles James, Lamont St. James, Julius James; sisters Teresa James and JoAnn James of Chicago, IL; numerous nieces and nephews; great grandchildren and many friends. We all will miss him greatly. Visitation will be held Friday, May 31, 2013, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1509 Edith Blvd SE, Albuquerque. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013, 11:00 am at Macedonia Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Sandia Memory Gardens.
