Clarence Lopez

Clarence Lopez, 76, passed away on March 21, 2021. Clarence was born on August 12, 1944 in Socorro, NM where he was raised and lived most of his life. He moved for a time to Polvadera, NM and then made his home in San Antonio, NM. Clarence retired from Socorro Consolidated Schools after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed volunteering at the Thrift Store in his retirement. Clarence was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Lukesh Lopez, his father, Jimmy Lopez, his sister, Helen Lopez and half sister, Betty Lopez. He is survived by his half-brother, Marty Inman, a nephew, nieces and many cousins and friends who remember him lovingly. Clarence enjoyed being with family and would visit, especially his aunts, uncles and cousins when they were alive. He always arrived with sweets to share around the table with coffee. He knew the family tree going back generations and would share the names, history and their whereabouts. He always had stories to tell and the visits would be filled with laughter. He also enjoyed and was known for his love of music, dancing, and gardening. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A graveside service was held on March 31, 2021 at the San Miguel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl Apodaca, Frankie Gonzales, Raymond Sarracino, Matthew Vaiza, Marcus Sarracino, Jason Romero, Gilbert Santillanes Jr., Andy Vaiza, Carl Lukesh, Anthony Lukesh, Manny Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, Shane Lukesh, Kenny Lukesh, and Tony Lukesh.
