Clarence Lyle Thompson

Thompson, C. Lyle Age 101, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012. He was born in Rushville, IL on February 7, 1911, to Clarence and Bell Thompson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Doris M. Thompson; son, Tommy Thompson; grandsons, Brian Thompson, Billy Thompson, and Dean Keller; granddaughter, Leslie Custer. Lyle is survived by daughters, Marilyn Wilson, Gloria Vasquez (George); son, Ruel Thompson; grandchildren, Jamie Yoder, Todd Wilson, Julie Wilson, Holly Herrera, Randi Hamilton and Sandy Chavez, and 10 great grandchildren. Lyle was a longtime resident of Albuquerque. He was a member of the Lion''s and Elks Clubs, as well as the Mason''s. Lyle was an active member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church and he participated in many groups including bridge and golf. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor. A memorial service will be held Monday April 9, 2012 at 4:00 pm and a private burial will follow at a later date.
