FERNANDEZ ��?? Clorinda "Corie Fernandez. It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt Clorinda "Corie Fernandez, age 62 of Bernalillo, NM on Sunday, July 24, 2011.
Corrie was born September 14, 1948 in Albuquerque, NM to Benjamin and Priscilla Romero. She was retired from Ethicon Endosurgery. Corie was a loving and generous person who touched the hearts and lives of the many whose paths she crossed. Just as she embraced everyone, we embrace Corie in our hearts.
Corie is survived by her partner Simon Garcia; her children, Gilbert Fernandez, Brandi Fernandez and Henry Garcia; grandchildren, Joshua and Isaac Fernandez; two brothers; three sisters; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Rosary will be recited Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Mission, in Reserve, NM. Interment will follow at the St. Francis Cemetery. At the family��?�s request, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery Blvd., NE, Ste. #300, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
