Colette L. Smith

SMITH - Colette L. Smith, 71, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1988, passed away on November 22, 2008. She is survived by her son, Michael R. Smith and wife, Monica; mother, Cecile Bourque; granddaughter, Michelle Godfrey and husband, Jonathan; and grandson, Michael S. Smith, all of Rio Rancho. Colette was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Charles R. Smith in 2007. She was born in Magog, Quebec, Canada the daughter of Robert and Cecile Bourque. The family moved in 1947 to the United States and in 1959 she married the love of her life, Charles. Along with her husband they were longtime local entrepreneurs. They were very involved in local charities and St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. Entombment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho.
