Connie Bond passed away on November 11, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was 88. She was born on May 1, 1921 to Joaquin Azua and Domitila Guerra Azua in Weaver, New Mexico a small mining community north of Gallup. Ms. Bond was a life resident of the area and was very active with Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America, Legion of Mary, The Blue Army and helped many years with Sacred Heart Cathedral Bazaar taking special interest in the turkey dinner and Christmas booths. She is survived by her children Marianne Chaput and her husband Richard of Fountain Valley, CA., Marvin Bond Jr. and his wife Frances of Farmington, NM., Michael Bond of Huntington Beach, CA., Domitila "Tillie" Ryan of Bastrop, TX., Richard Bond and his wife Phyllis of Gallup, NM., and David Bond and his wife Lupe also of Gallup. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her sister; Mary Lopez and her husband Milton of El Hambra, CA. and Her brother; John Azua and his wife Panie of Gallup, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Gayle Bond Sr. who passed away in June 1993. Her Parents; Joaquin and Domitila Azua. Her sisters; Lupe Azua, Mary "Teter" Manis, and her brothers; Joe Azua and Tony Azua. Her nephews; Carlos Azua and Bernard Azua. Pallbearers include; David Bond, Christopher Bond, Bernard Bond, Jeremy Bond, Jonathan Bond, and Joseph Bond. Honorary Pallbearers include; Albert Grijalva, Jerry Paul Manis, Devon Chaput, Ryan Chaput, Jim Knight, Beverly Bond, Joe Azua, Vincent Azua, and Patrick Azua.
