Connie was born March, 27, 1958, in Albuquerque New Mexico. She went to heaven peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, November 18, 2016, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Connie was full of life, joy, love and faith. She loved her family dearly. She was the second oldest of five children. She worked at Smiths for 34 years and retired from there in 2010. Connie was the most selfless giving person you had ever met. She always worried about her family before herself. She loved and adored our Heavenly Father and never gave up on her faith. She was preceded in death by her father Simplicio Sammy Martinez, Mother Fina Martinez, Daughter Angela Ann Padilla and Brother David Martinez.
Connie is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Frank Perez of Albuquerque, NM, Son David Perez and wife Shaela, Daughter Tasha Perez, Sisters Lucy Sena and husband Tommy, Patricia Vigil and husband Orlando, Brother Sammy Martinez, Nephews and Nieces, God-Daughter Phyllis and husband Peter, Joseph, Theresa and husband Jeff, Orlando Jr and wife Venessa, Melissa, Jonathan, and God-Son Joshua, Jessica, Genevieve and husband Alex and many great nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for dearly.
Pallbearers: David Perez, Sammy Martinez, Orlando Vigil, Orlando Vigil Jr., Joshua Vigil, Tommy Sena.
Through this battle her husband never left her side, and we thank him for that. She was the best mother, sister and aunt anyone could ask for and she will be missed greatly.
Services will be held at the Carlisle Chapel on Friday November, 25th at 6:00pm. Mass will be at the Legacy East Campus on Saturday, November the 26th at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.
