Constance Turner Walker

Died 8/25/20 in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Connie was born in Newton, Massachusetts, January 24, 1925, daughter of Harrison I. Turner and Margaret Reade.  She attended Cornell College, Mount Vernon, Iowa and graduated from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois in 1945.  She worked as a chemist for Parke, Davis & Co, Detroit, Michigan, and was married to Donald F. Walker, Jr. in 1948.  In 1971 she earned a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Maryland and worked 14 years as a librarian in Montgomery County, Maryland.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Don, brother, Harrison C. Turner of Chesterfield, Missouri, and daughter, Margaret V. Walker.

She is survived by her sister Barbara T. Jones of Uniontown, Ohio and Barbara’s daughters Cathy, Diana, and Linda and their spouses and children; her brother’s son, Brad Turner and daughter, Elizabeth Sanchez-Turner and her spouse and children; her son, Frederick F. Walker of Dallas, Oregon and his wife, Tess; her two grandsons, James C. Walker of El Cerrito, California and Jacob D. Kazmirski of Denver, Colorado and their spouses, Rabea Walker and Sara Kazmirski; her three great grandchildren, Margaret Kazmirski, Emilia Walker, and Brody Walker; and her cousin and dear friend Diane Buster and her family of Tijeras, New Mexico.  Along with these family members she will always be missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
