Carl's passing in 2005 marked the end of sixty-three years of marriage. In 2009 Beth joined Barry and his wife Georgia in a return to the Albuquerque area to be nearer their expanded family.
The lady was a 'Trooper'. There was never a complaint or a sorrowful longing for days gone by. Her cheerful disposition and sharing of love was a blessing to all who knew her.
In addition to Carl, Beth was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle, her natural father Claude Smithpeter, who died when she was a very young, and her stepfather of over sixty years, O.E. Simpson.
Surviving are Beth's son Barry and his wife Georgia of Rio Rancho; grandson Zach and his wife Maria and their children Nicholas and Erik as well as Beth's granddaughter Christy all of Albuquerque.
The family is appreciative of all who made Beth's move easier and her later years enjoyable. Special thanks are due to Dr. Francisco Torrez, past and present staff members and residents of the Rio Rancho Beehive facility, Bernadette Garay, caregivers at Hospice Compassus, and the host of volunteers who regularly stopped by the facility to enrich the lives of its residents in a variety of ways. You are special people.
