Cornelius "Mac" McGrory

The Gentile Boy, Cornelius “MAC” McGrory was called home to our Lord on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the age of 83. MAC is survived by his wife, Mary O. McGrory, brother, Michael Thomas McGrory, son, Kevin Edward McGrory, Daughter, Mary Beth McGrory, and his wife’s three children, Laurie D. Monaco, Steve Lowe and Scott Lowe

 Born April 27, 1935, too, Cornelius McGrory and Mary McArdle. Mac was a unique and caring spirit, who touched all the lives that knew him. Mac always had stories to warm the heart and make the soul smile. Mac was a self-proclaimed Humorist and Chef. Mac had a way of making everyone he encountered feel important, loved and appreciated. He always chose life and earned every bit of it. Mac was a proud patriot and Navy Veteran. He retired from the United States Secret Service as a Lieutenant. Mac served under six Presidents and had the history to prove it. Mac was one of the most riveting people one could meet. Although we cannot fill his shoes or replace him we can remember him and honor him by being good people, good husbands, good fathers, and good friends.

Mac was proceeded in death by his first wife, Patricia Ann McGrory, and his son, Michael Sean McGrory.

Further survived by grandchildren, Michael C. McGrory, Justin McGrory, Rebecca Sosa, Kelly McGrory, Kristen McGrory, and Sara Monaco and many great-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.

A service will be held at 930 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Daniels Family Funeral Home located at 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. Reception to follow at 3387 Esplanade Pl. SE, Rio Rancho, NM, 87124
