Cory Jaramillo

Jaramillo, Corcinio C.
Corcinio (Cory) Jaramillo, was born May 27, 1925 in Seboyeta, NM. He attended Menaul School and graduated from Grants High School. Cory enlisted in the Navy and left on the train to California the day of his graduation. His mother accepted his high school diploma for him. He was assigned to the USS Lackawanna as a Yeomen 2nd Class in charge of the engineering office. His ship was assigned to refueling other ships in support of the Pacific Operations during WWII, eventually ending up in Japan. When he returned home from the war he married his wife Luvie (Dec 20, 1947). Together they raised 5 generations in the Albuquerque North Valley. After leaving the Navy in 1945, he worked as a printer and typesetter, eventually retiring from the Albuquerque Publishing Company in 1991 after 30 years with them. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Luvie, his parents, 5 siblings, son in law, grandson and great grandson. He is survived by Son Walter, Daughters Judy and Shirley; his brother Gabe; 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter and one great-great grandson.
