Cris Eugene Landgraf

September 14, 1948 — September 19, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cris Eugene Landgraf.  Born in Beeville, TX, Cris lived in Albuquerque the majority of 66 years.  He served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star.  He graduated from the University of New Mexico in Economics and retired from UNM in 2010.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Lewis Landgraf; and brother Michael.  Cris is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elma Landgraf; his daughter, his pride and joy, Leah and husband Ra; his precious and adored grandchildren, Hendrix and Nina.  Also surviving are his brother, Jerry Landgraf; sister-in-law, Jerry Hopkins-Velarde; many nieces, nephews, relatives and loving friend Louella and husband Chuck Phillips.  Cris with his wife Elma, loved camping, music, traveling and building while spending time with his many friends and his loyal dog Clifford.  The family wishes to thank friends and neighbors for the outpouring of support.   Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW.  Inurnment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m.   In lieu of flowers, in Cris' honor, Memorial contributions may be made to the VA Homeless by calling 1-877-424-3838.
