Crisoforo Villanueva Medellin

Crisoforo "Cris" Medellin, age 73, passed away December 8, 2019.  He was born on September 28, 1946 to Mercedes Villanueva Benitez and Crisoforo Medellin Laris, in Tenayuca, Mexico City, Mexico.  He married the love of his life, Elvira Balderas Yepez, on October 8, 1993, in Santa Ana, California.  They were married for 26 years.  He was a Maintenance Supervisor, at OCTA, Section IV,  where he was employed for 30 years.  He loved spending time with all of his family, listening to music, looking through family photos, playing handball and raquetball.  He would tell everyone "First you need to make yourself happy to make others happy."

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mercedes Villanueva Benitez and Crisoforo Medellin Laris; sister, Patricia Medellin Villanueva; and brother Efren Medellin Villanueva.

Cris is survived by his loving wife, Elvira Balderas Medellin; sons, Chrisoforo Medellin and Vincent Medellin; daughters, Rosie Reed, Ruth Medellin, Michelle Medellin, and Evelyn Medellin.  

Visitation and viewing will take place, 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 14, 2019, Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87124.  Service will begin at 2:00 PM.  Interment immediately following at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
